Among the Giants: Montenegro Calling

Scaling glorious mountains by bike is always a challenge, from the mental battle to the physical effort required. No matter the grade or distance, a story is always sure to ensue. With this wisdom in mind, the crew at RAW Cycling Mag curated their seventh Among the Giants adventure in Montenegro - a rugged and beautiful nation nestled in the Balkans. 

The Durmitor Quest featured three days of riding in and around Durmitor National Park. Towering mountains, many over 3,000 meters, and infinitely starry nights greeted the riders during their 408 kilometer sojourn.

With Karoo leading the way, these riders soaked in all the paradise had to offer - from crystal blue lakes to soaring mountain peaks - all in the name of adventure and advocacy of an oft-overlooked cycling gem.
